Drawing and Painting in 2022
'Habitat' Wednesdays 10 am - 12noon from 19th January For beginner and improvers. 2 blocks of 5x 2 hour art classes The theme for this course is ‘Habitat’, looking at insects, amphibians, fish and mammals in their environment. Classes will include demonstrations and instruction in painting in a range of mediums including watercolour, acrylic, oils and water-soluble oils. Students are however free to use their own favourite materials. Some materials will be available for experimentation. Consuming Art and Taste This is a short taster course to look at who is making art, who commissions art, and who is deciding what is ‘good’ art. In conjunction with the WEA and Sheffield Museums. Kite Making For festivals and events, I lead a small kite making workshop to make and decorate a simple kite in 15 minutes. Great fun for all ages or as a family workshop. Children under 7 may require some assistance from parents or carers. Cardboard Puppet Making For festivals and events, I lead a articulated puppet making workshop to make and decorate a simple kite in 15 minutes. Busy Bee or Creepy Crawly Making For festivals and events, i lead range of activities for children up to about 12 with armbands, masks, bird scarers/plant ties, peg dolls and more. |
