'People Watching '
Wednesdays 10 am - 12noon from 21st September
For beginner and improvers. 11 classes in 2 blocks of 5 and 6
The theme for this term is drawing and painting people in the distance and close up. We will explore mixing colours in different mediums to render skin tones, proportions of the human figure, and portraiture.
Classes will include demonstrations and instruction in a range of mediums including watercolour, acrylic, oils and water-soluble oils. Students are free to use their favourite materials. Some materials will be available for experimentation.
Venue St Mary’s Hall, Howard Road, Walkley Sheffield, S6 3RX
St Mary's is ground floor and has accessible facilities.

A supportive, weekly life drawing group, for beginners and improvers, with advice on methods & materials. (over 16's only) the theme this block will be 'Expression'

Workshops on the move
Most of the workshops above can be adapted for outdoor events or workshops in other venues. for outdoor and indoor festivals and events I also can lead workshops in a variety of craft activities for children and adults.
For festivals and events, I lead a small kite making workshop to make and decorate a simple kite in 15 minutes. Great fun for all ages or as a family workshop. Children under 7 may require some assistance from parents or carers.
Cardboard Puppet Making
For festivals and events, I lead a articulated puppet making workshop to make and decorate a simple kite in 15 minutes.
Busy Bee or Creepy Crawly Making
For festivals and events, i lead range of activities for children up to about 12 with armbands, masks, bird scarers/plant ties, peg dolls and more.
Making mosaics - very addictive!
Textile work with children and adults.
