Life Drawing Days at Exchange Place Studios
The next Life Drawing Day is planned for late January 2017, dates TBC .
The sessions are for all abilities, in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, with tuition where requested. Easels, drawing boards and some materials are provided.

Times 10.30 - 12.30 and 1.30 - 3.30 Cost: £7 per 2 hour session or £12 for the day.

Experimental Wednesdays at Exchange Place
Join these small and friendly classes for small groups (max 5 people), of people of all abilities and levels of experience to explore basic drawing skills and techniques and experiment with a range of art media without committing to a long course. We use a minimum of specialist equipment so you can repeat most activities at home.
Venue: in studio 5.13 at Exchange Studios in central Sheffield.

Age Group: : mornings aimed at adults only, children aged 8 upwards interested in developing their skills can be accommodated with an earlier evening start.

Making Mosaics for the home and garden An introduction to mosaics to show you to design and construct small items for indoors and outdoors.
Stripped and Green Willow
Using Stripped Willow to learn sculptural willow weaving skills to design and create Green Willow sculptures for outdoor installation.
Picture making with textiles
Whether to commemorate an event or just for fun, pictures in textiles are versatile in that they can be hung like a painting or incorporated into everyday items such as cushions, quilts, tablecloths etc, making art part of your everyday life.
Painting in watercolour, acrylics and oils
For beginners - learn painting techniques with outdoor (plein air) trips when the weather allows!
Autumn and winter terms
Lino Printing and Lantern Making -
Basic printing techniques and in willow and lantern making – both skills that you can use to good effect in your winter celebrations.
Workshops on the move
Most of the workshops above can be adapted for outdoor events or workshops in other venues. for festivals and events I also can lead workshops in a variety of craft activities for children and adults.
For festivals and events, I lead a small kite making workshop to make and decorate a simple kite in 15 minutes. Great fun for all ages or as a family workshop. Children under 7 may require some assistance from parents or carers.
